We want to start by thanking our loyal customers. It's been an honor to be part of this fantastic community for 50 years. Thank you to the firefighters who saved our restaurant 15 years ago. Because of you, we were able to rebuild. Furthermore, thank you to my dear staff, who I cherish and consider family. Without their dedication and support, we would not be here today. Last, but not least, thank you to my parents, Seizaburo and Katsuko Inatome. They used hard work and determination to build their business. Everyone played a role in our story and I will never forget this.
This is hard. This is very hard.
I almost don’t want to admit that Inatome Japanese Steak & Sushi is in trouble. More trouble each year since the pandemic. Either because I am too proud. Or because I’m scared. But to save my restaurant and all the wonderful people who work for me, I have no choice but to be humble and face my fears. Inatome will be evolving over the next few years. We need your support.

The economy and restaurant industry have changed since the pandemic. Unfortunately, this has made our business very difficult to manage. The situation worsens every year. As the owner, I worry about paying my staff and have not taken a salary for years. More importantly, I can't let my parents' dream die. With humility, I am now asking for your help.

My team and I have a strong plan to turn the restaurant around. We need capital to fund several ideas.
These ideas will improve our cash flow, better use our space, and allow us to reinvent Inatome.
We are moving in a positive direction. I have built a strong, passionate team ready to implement our plan. These improvements will become permanent fixtures of the restaurant. There are goals that we are striving to achieve, but we can't do it alone.
Please support in any way you can. Thank you!
We will transform our kitchen to create a dedicated takeout and delivery department, stabilizing the business for the next decade.
We will launch fun events, like hands-on sushi classes, to better use our space and strengthen neighborhood ties.
We will improve our website and systems, making the Inatome experience easier to enjoy from your home.

The funds collected here will help pay the expenses associated with our New Plan. We are committed to transparency. The results will be seen immediately: once the campaign is complete, we will begin the process of remodeling and hiring staff. We are also improving our website and social media to focus on takeout and special events. Our goal is to bring the Inatome experience to you at home. Finally, to show our appreciation, we are pledging to donate up to 10% of the funds collected toward local groups. This includes the Valley Stream Fire Department and the Brooklyn Avenue School, where many of my staff attended. These groups are especially near and dear to my heart.

"Excellent omakase and hibachi! The ambience reminded me of Japan. The fish was super fresh and rivals top omakase restaurants in NYC. Highly recommend!"

"Absolutely the best Omakase in Long Island. Sushi Chef Hiroki served us a beautiful dinner... Every piece was so flavorful. The tempura was so perfect—crispy yet moist inside."
- Mi Yon Y., Elite Reviewer
"A little unknown secret is that it's one of THE BEST sushi omakase you can find outside of Manhattan in all of NYC. Nobuyuki Ogura makes magic with what he can obtain—a sign of a top-notch chef."
- Gordon Y., Elite Reviewer (Queens, NY)
